We teach the musician in front of us. Private lessons make room for individual goals and musical interests. Harmony Road classes help children and their families build strong foundations through singing, movement, and making music together. As students develop their skills, they take on new challenges, make musical choices of their own, and gain the confidence to share what they’ve learned.

In Harmony Road, parents participate alongside their children in every class—singing, moving, listening, and playing together. A thoughtfully sequenced curriculum builds musical skills while giving families ways to keep making music together at home.
During quarterly Musicianship Weeks, private students step outside the lesson room to make music with others, explore theory and creativity, meet other teachers and students, and experience being part of a music school community.
Three annual Heart Beats recitals give students welcoming opportunities to share their music. Students looking for additional challenge can also pursue Certificate of Merit, National Guild Auditions, adjudicated events, festivals, and competitions.

Music school is about more than lessons. Throughout the year, students and families come together for performances, Musicianship Weeks, open houses, seasonal activities, service projects, and plenty of small reasons to celebrate.

Heart Beats was founded on the belief that excellent music education should help students grow as musicians while leaving plenty of room for joy, curiosity, and being themselves.
We pair strong musical foundations and meaningful opportunities with teachers who get to know their students—what motivates them, what challenges them, and what makes them want to keep making music.

How young can my child start?
Harmony Road group classes begin at 18 months. We'll help you find the right class for your child's age and stage.
Do parents stay for Harmony Road classes?
Yes. Harmony Road is a parent-participation program. A parent or caregiver attends and actively participates in every class with their child. Learning together is an important part of the program—it helps children feel supported and gives families music they can continue enjoying together at home.
Do you teach adults?
Yes. Private lessons welcome adults at every level, from first lessons to returning musicians.
What instruments do you teach?
We offer private lessons in piano, voice, violin, guitar, and bass.
Can we try it first?
Private lessons begin with a free trial lesson. For group classes, we'll help you visit or find the right introduction.
What are we committing to?
Private lessons meet weekly and continue until you give 30 days' notice to stop. Group classes run by semester, with some shorter sessions depending on the class. Enrollment continues unless you opt out before the current term ends. We'll explain the schedule and terms before you register.
When can we start?
Private lesson enrollment is ongoing, subject to teacher availability. Group class entry depends on the class and current term; ask us about the next good opening.
